Still can't believe a maiden has won the Cox Plate, it just proves anything can happen in racing. Very happy with the run of Happy Trails with Dwayne Dunn just needing to get out a fraction earlier to change the result.

Drew a blank for winners but a great day for Trifectas and first fours

A super days racing highlited by todays Cox Plate. This years race although not of the standard of previous years has plenty of question marks around some of the runners. Although under normal circumstances you would declare Its a Dundeel today the abcess setback casts some doubt over his chances and from barrier 13 it doesnt make his task any easier.

We have settled on Happy Trails whose preperation is set to the minute , he has a great barrier, a top rider in form and a track that suits and is at odds. Make him your best each way.

Started extremely well in the first half of the card for winners with 7 on the board but a dissapointing finish with only 2 for the rest of the card. Stiff with Streama and Puissance de Lune. It was a great day for trifectas however and hopefully you found enough winners to finish in front. Our specials were poor and and with some of the roughies arriving of late we may have to stick with the short priced specials for the next few weeks.

Great meetings in Sydney and Melbourne and really looking forward to the day. Its the business end of the racing season and The Epsom Handicap looks like a good race for no 5 Streama who has done nothing wrong of late, drops in weight and has a good barrier. Don't be surprised if Sincero at $51 runs an improved race but would need to.
